Applying of geotextiles materials in construction proved to be the solution that saves money and significantly improves the properties of the building in relation to classical techniques of the construction of certain types of objects. Quality and responsibly construction on every type of ground and any type of conditions and temperatures is difficult to obtain if building is without geotextile, no matter if the ground is soft or solid, flat or inclined, near to the running or stagnant water, at the fortification of the coastline, the bridge construction, the road construction, tunnel construction, the waste storage.. Using of geotextile materials replaces available construction methods using mineral resources with methods using geotextile materials. Geotextile installation is realized in a very complex environment and most damages of geotextile materials occurs during its installation so it should have high resistance on damages, it has to maintain all of it properties (separation, filtration, drainage, stabilization, protection) after it has been built in to the ground. This is the reason why in the paper the particular attention has been focused on research of puncture resistance of needled geotextile materials made of regular polyester fiber, recycled polyester fiber and polypropylene fiber. The needled geotextile materials in the range of surface mass from 150 gm-2 to 500 gm-2 has been studied. By using the results of the research the connection between the parameters of the structure of geotextile materials and the puncture strength has been suggested.
